The water is ten times more saline than normal sea-water and sand on its bank is highly rich in minerals. Both, the water and sand are used for curing skin problems. It’s water lets you float easily because of high salt content. Now comes the bad part, the Dead Sea is losing two billion gallons of water each year, it has sunk to almost 80 feet in last 40 years, because of increased mining and diversion of river Jordan.
